The Story About How Frustrated Dad Creates
20-minute A Day system That Enables Any Parent To Teach Their Child To Read Faster and Better Years older
This is the story of why the 20-Minute-A-Day System came to be and how you can start using it yourself in just a few short minutes now.
In fact, what I am about to share with you is one of the most embarrassing moments in my entire life. I remember it was a Friday afternoon, and I left work early so I could attend my very first parent-teacher conference with my son's kindergarten teacher.
I got to the meeting, already a bit nervous since this was my first parent-teacher conference. Just imagine the shock and horror I felt when his teacher told me that my son's reading ability was below grade level, did not meet expectations, and his vocabulary was lacking for his age.

Her words instantly sunk me into a deep panic. Truthfully, I felt my son had regressed since starting school. His vocabulary seemed fine to me, and he knew the names of each letter in the alphabet and could sing the ABC song before I enrolled him in kindergarten.
How did he forget despite attending school every day, and why couldn't he read at the expected level? How did he fall behind? I panicked and just wanted to go hide my head in the sand.
This report card had less to do with how my son was doing in the classroom and more to do with how effectively I was raising him as a parent at home.
That was 2019, and I can still feel the wave of embarrassment that washes over me every time I think about it. It was a nightmare even to this day. It still leaves a giant lump in my throat telling you this now.
Did you know, according to a study done by the U.S. Department of Education, if your child does not meet the average literary standard by the end of grade 1, they are now 88% more likely to keep falling further and further behind? All the way up to 4th grade.
With factual statistics like that, it's no wonder we see high school dropout rates as high as 66% in this country. The fact is, with this many children quietly falling through the cracks, it's now more crucial than ever to actively teach your child to read as early as you possibly can. Don't leave your child's entire future and success in life up to the education system alone.
I know you want to give your child the best head start ever, just like I do. That's why I created the 20-Minute A-Day Reading System.
